Chad Frost
Chief Technologist, Small Spacecraft Technology Program, NASA

Chad Frost is the Chief Technologist for the Small Spacecraft Technology Program (SSTP). For over 30 years, Mr. Frost has been at the forefront of aerospace technology. He previously served in senior management roles at Ames Research Center, including as the Director of Engineering, Chief of the Mission Design Division, and head of the Autonomous Systems and Robotics section, where he was responsible for developing and deploying technologies that make aircraft safer, spacecraft more affordable, and robots smarter. Mr. Frost has worked in industry as a product design and manufacturing engineer, a spacecraft structures program manager, and as a problem-solving consultant to DoD programs. He is an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
